Tuscumbia is a tiny Miller County town of 142 people in central Missouri's farm country. Most visitors arrive on Highway 17 from Jefferson City, 30 miles north, or take US 54 to Eldon then head south. The town sits in rolling hills near the Osage River valley, with Lake of the Ozarks tourist traffic passing through in summer. Its 1895 one-room schoolhouse still stands as a piece of local history.
