Tunica is a small Delta town 30 miles south of Memphis on US Highway 61. The county seat has fewer than 900 residents and sits in Mississippi's cotton country near the river. Most visitors arrive via US 61 from Memphis or Highway 4 from I-55. The 1903 brick courthouse with its prominent clock tower anchors the town square.
