Troy is a small county seat in northeastern Kansas, about 75 miles from Kansas City via I-29 north and US 36 west. Highway 7 connects it to St. Joseph (15 miles northeast) and other regional towns. The 1905 red brick courthouse with its clock tower dominates the town square and serves as Doniphan County's government center.
