Trimble is a small farming town of 550 people in northwest Tennessee, 15 miles south of Kentucky. Highway 78 connects it to Union City and Reelfoot Lake, while Route 22 provides north-south access. The flat agricultural landscape supports cotton and soybeans in the humid subtropical climate. Most notably, Trimble sits near Reelfoot Lake, one of Tennessee's few natural lakes, formed by the 1811-1812 New Madrid earthquakes.
