Trappe is a small Eastern Shore town in Talbot County, reached via US Route 50 and Maryland Route 565. Most visitors drive from Baltimore or DC (90 minutes east), while locals make short trips to Easton (10 miles north) for shopping and services. The flat farmland and tidal waterways create classic Chesapeake Bay scenery. Trappe is the birthplace of American Methodism, with historic Barratt's Chapel where Francis Asbury first preached in 1778.
