Trail Side is a tiny farming community of 27 people in northeastern Colorado's Morgan County. It's about 80 miles northeast of Denver via I-76 and Highway 14, or accessible from Fort Collins by taking Highway 14 east across the plains. The settlement sits along historical cattle drive routes in the South Platte River valley, surrounded by wheat and corn fields with wide-open views across the high plains.
