Tracy is a small farming town in southwestern Minnesota where Highway 14 provides the main east-west route through rolling prairie country. The highway connects to Walnut Grove and Lake Benton for local trips, while longer routes reach New Ulm eastbound and Sioux Falls westbound. Highway 23 intersects downtown, linking south to Marshall. The restored railroad depot downtown serves as a community center and recalls Tracy's origins as a railroad stop.
