Tovey is a farming community of 629 people in central Illinois, about 25 miles southeast of Springfield via State Route 29. Most visitors take I-55 to Exit 82 near Pawnee, then head east through agricultural countryside. The town sits in classic Midwest prairie land with rolling fields and experiences typical Illinois weather. The original Illinois Central Railroad depot still stands as a reminder of the community's railroad heritage.
