Tool is a small East Texas town of about 2,400 people, located 75 miles southeast of Dallas near Cedar Creek Lake. The main route from Dallas takes Interstate 20 east to Highway 155 south, about 90 minutes total. It's popular with Dallas-area weekend visitors for fishing and lake recreation. The town is named after an early settler, not the implement you'd expect.
