Toluca is a small farming town in north-central Illinois, about 90 miles southwest of Chicago. Reach it via I-39 to Exit 35, then west on Route 18. The town of 1,500 sits in flat prairie country with a continental climate. Route 18 runs east-west through town, connecting to Lacon and Henry, while Route 17 provides north-south access to neighboring communities. The annual Turkey Festival each September has been celebrating local agricultural heritage since 1968.
