Tioga is a small farming and oil town of about 1,600 people in northwestern North Dakota, just 20 miles from the Montana border. US Highway 2 runs right through town, connecting east to Minot (60 miles) and west to the state line. It's about 150 miles northwest of Bismarck via Highway 83 north to Highway 2 west. The town has its own municipal airport with a 3,200-foot paved runway for general aviation.
