Tillatoba is a tiny Mississippi community of about 80 people in Yalobusha County, 20 miles southeast of Oxford. Reach it via Highway 7 south from Oxford to local connecting roads, or from Highway 315 which provides the main access. Long-distance visitors typically come from Memphis via Highway 78 or from Jackson via I-55 to Grenada. The name comes from a Choctaw word meaning "white rock," after the limestone outcroppings scattered throughout the area.
