Tierra Verde is a tiny coastal community of 39 people in Nueces County, about 15 miles northeast of Corpus Christi. Reach it via Highway 358, the main route to Padre Island that gets busy with beach traffic. The closest airport is Corpus Christi International, 20 miles southwest. This spot sits on former King Ranch land, and you can still drive some of the original ranch roads.
