Tibes is a tiny community of 37 people in the hills south of Ponce, accessible via Highway PR-503 from central Ponce about 6 miles north. Most visitors come for the adjacent Tibes Indigenous Ceremonial Center, which preserves ancient ball courts and petroglyphs over 1,000 years old.
