Throop is a small borough in northeastern Pennsylvania, situated between Scranton and Dunmore in the Lackawanna River valley. Take I-81 to Exit 185 for PA Route 307 to reach the town center, or use Main Avenue from Scranton for a more direct local route. The airport is about 15 miles south via I-81, making it convenient for out-of-town visitors. Main Avenue still features its original early 1900s brick paving, a rare surviving example of historic street construction in the area.
