Thorp is a small Wisconsin farming community on Highway 29, about 90 miles east of Minneapolis. The main east-west highway connects it to Eau Claire and Wausau, while Highway 73 runs north-south through town. Most visitors use Highway 29 to reach Interstate 94 near Osseo. The city's red and white checkerboard water tower serves as a distinctive landmark visible across the surrounding farmland.
