Thorntown is a small Indiana town of about 1,200 people, located 30 miles northwest of Indianapolis in Boone County. Most visitors reach it via Interstate 65 to Lebanon, then west on State Road 32, which intersects with State Road 75 in the town center. The drive from Indianapolis takes about 45 minutes through rolling farmland along Sugar Creek. The town's historic covered bridge from 1884 still carries traffic on Thorntown Road.
