Terril is a farming town of 290 people in northwest Iowa's lake country. Highway 9 runs east-west through town, connecting to Spencer (15 miles) and the Iowa Great Lakes area. County Road A42 provides north-south access to rural areas. The classic grain elevator along the railroad tracks remains a working symbol of the community's agricultural heritage.
