Tensed is a tiny farming town of 71 people in northern Idaho's Benewah County, about 30 miles south of Coeur d'Alene via US 95 and Highway 5. The area features rolling wheat fields and pastures with warm, dry summers perfect for agriculture. Most visitors arrive from Spokane (45 minutes via I-90 and US 95) or make the longer drive north from Boise. The town hosts an annual Threshing Bee showcasing vintage farm equipment and traditional wheat harvesting methods.
