Tennille is a small agricultural town in central Georgia, about 30 miles southeast of Macon via US Highway 441. The main route from Atlanta follows I-75 south to Macon, then US 441 through rolling farmland. State Route 57 provides east-west connections to neighboring communities. The town serves as Washington County's seat, centered around a distinctive red brick courthouse that has anchored the downtown square since 1870.
