Temple is a small Oklahoma town of about 1,000 people located 15 miles southeast of Lawton via State Highway 5. Most visitors come from I-44 at Lawton or US-277 from Texas. The rolling plains setting offers hot summers and mild winters. Temple serves as an eastern gateway to the nearby Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.
