Tekoa is a small farming town of 690 people in the Palouse wheat country, about 45 miles south of Spokane via State Route 27. The drive takes an hour through rolling hills and farmland. It's a quiet stop on the Palouse Scenic Byway with the original 1888 railroad depot still standing on Main Street.
