Tekamah is a small farming town along the Missouri River, about 50 miles north of Omaha via US Highway 75. The town sits on river bluffs in agricultural country, serving as the Burt County seat. Highway 32 connects east-west to Blair and the Omaha area. The restored 1888 courthouse with its distinctive clock tower dominates the historic town square.
