Tazewell is a small mountain town in northeastern Tennessee that serves as Claiborne County's seat. US 25E runs right through town, connecting to I-75 about 30 miles southeast and continuing north to Kentucky. Most visitors use it as a gateway to Cumberland Gap National Historical Park or stop while traveling between Knoxville and points north. The 1930s Art Deco courthouse with its prominent clock tower dominates the town square.
