Taylor is a tiny farming town in southwestern North Dakota, about 15 miles west of Dickinson via Highway 10. Most visitors arrive from Bismarck by taking I-94 west to Dickinson, then continuing on Highway 10 through wheat country. The town sits in classic Great Plains landscape with cold winters and warm summers. Taylor's historic grain elevator towers over the prairie and serves as a landmark visible for miles around.
