Taylor is a small Mississippi community about 10 miles southeast of Oxford on Highway 7. This rural settlement sits in Lafayette County's rolling hills, easily reached via a 15-minute drive south from the University of Mississippi campus. Most traffic comes from Oxford, though some visitors arrive via Highway 334's east-west route through the countryside. The University Oxford Airport lies just north of town along the same highway corridor. Taylor sits along a historic route that once connected Oxford to the region's 19th-century railroad towns.
