Tatums is a tiny farming community of 164 people in Carter County, about 15 miles southeast of Ardmore via Highway 199. Most visitors arrive from Oklahoma City by taking I-35 south to Ardmore, then heading east. The town sits in rolling prairie country typical of south-central Oklahoma. Its claim to fame is having one of the state's smallest post offices, which doubles as the community hub.
