Tarrytown is a Hudson River village in Westchester County, 25 miles north of NYC via I-87 or the Saw Mill Parkway. The Tappan Zee Bridge connects it to Rockland County, while Route 9 runs along the scenic riverfront. Popular routes include 30 minutes to Manhattan or quick trips to White Plains. The Gothic Revival Lyndhurst mansion here was featured in the 1970 vampire film "House of Dark Shadows."
