Taloga, the seat of Dewey County, sits along US Highway 183 in northwestern Oklahoma's wheat and cattle country. Most visitors arrive via I-40 to Weatherford, then north on US-183 for 45 miles, or from Enid via US-412 and local highways. The town's 1902 sandstone courthouse anchors the downtown square and ranks among Oklahoma's most photographed rural courthouses.
