Talmo is a small Georgia town of 369 people in Jackson County, about an hour northeast of Atlanta via I-985 and State Route 365. The drive passes through Gainesville and Georgia's lake country before reaching this quiet community in the rolling foothills. Most visitors use it as a stop on the way to the Blue Ridge Mountains or Lake Lanier. The town's old railroad depot still stands from its days as a railway stop.
