Talco is a small East Texas town of 394 people located on State Highway 271 in Titus County. Most visitors arrive from Mount Pleasant (20 miles south) or continue north toward Paris. The town sits in rolling pine forest country with a volunteer fire department that still uses a restored 1950s fire truck for parades and emergencies.
