Swink is a tiny farming town in southeastern Colorado, sitting along US Highway 50 about 15 miles east of La Junta. Most visitors pass through on US 50 traveling between Pueblo and Kansas, while locals use county roads to reach surrounding farms. The town of 422 people sits in flat agricultural land at 4,100 feet elevation. Swink was named after the farmer who developed the famous Rocky Ford cantaloupe.
