Swifton is a small farming town in northeastern Arkansas along Highway 67, about 90 miles from Little Rock and 45 miles from Jonesboro. Most visitors arrive via Highway 67 from either direction, with connections through Newport to the south or Pocahontas to the north. The town of 1,100 sits among corn and soybean fields between the White and Black Rivers. Johnny Cash was born here in 1932, and a small monument marks the spot where the future country music legend entered the world.
