Swaledale is a tiny farming town of 148 people in north-central Iowa, about 15 miles southwest of Mason City. Take Highway 122 west from Mason City, or drive up I-35 from Des Moines and connect via Highway 18. The historic grain elevator dominates the skyline and can be spotted from miles across the surrounding cornfields.
