Surry is a tiny James River town of about 200 people that serves as the county seat for rural Surry County. Route 10 is your main road here, running 45 miles west to Richmond or 35 miles east toward Norfolk and Hampton Roads. The historic red brick courthouse from the early 1900s anchors the small downtown.
