Surrency is a tiny Georgia town of 163 people in Appling County, accessible via US Highway 1 about 45 miles west of Waycross. The area features rolling farmland and pine forests typical of south-central Georgia's coastal plain. The town gained fame in the 1800s as home to Georgia's most documented haunted house.
