Superior is a small farming town in south-central Nebraska near the Kansas border, serving as Nuckolls County's seat. US Highway 14 runs east-west through town, connecting to Hastings 35 miles away, while State Highway 4 provides north-south access. Most visitors arrive from Grand Island or Kearney about an hour north, with I-80 access at Aurora 45 miles northeast. The town's 1894 red brick courthouse with its prominent clock tower anchors the historic square.
