Sunset is a small Louisiana town of about 3,000 people located 20 miles west of Lafayette on Interstate 49. Most visitors arrive via I-49 or US Highway 190, which runs east-west through town. The area features typical Acadiana landscape with sugarcane fields and crawfish ponds under a humid subtropical climate. Sunset hosts an annual Herb and Spice Festival each October celebrating traditional Creole and Cajun seasonings.
