Sunbury sits where two branches of the Susquehanna River meet in central Pennsylvania, about 50 miles north of Harrisburg via US Route 15. The main routes include US 15 running north-south through town, US 11 along the river valley, and scenic Route 147 on the eastern riverbank. It's the Northumberland County seat with a downtown area enhanced by the Fabridam, the world's first inflatable dam that creates a recreational lake right in the city center.
