Sunbright is a small Cumberland Plateau town of about 800 people in Morgan County, accessible via State Route 62. Most visitors arrive from I-40 through Harriman, about 20 miles south, or from Wartburg to the west. The town sits in rolling, forested hill country typical of eastern Tennessee's plateau region. Sunbright gets its name from a historic local coal mine.
