Sun Prairie is a rapidly growing city of 38,000 located 15 miles northeast of Madison via Highway 151 or County N. Interstate 94 provides main highway access with exits at Highway 19 and Highway N, while US 151 runs along the western edge. The 20-minute commute to Madison makes it popular with state workers and university employees. The city hosts an annual Groundhog Day festival featuring Jimmy, its own weather-predicting groundhog.
