Sun is a tiny Louisiana community of about 380 people in St. Tammany Parish, roughly 50 miles northeast of New Orleans. Take I-12 to Highway 21 north toward Bogalusa to reach this rural spot surrounded by pine forests. The town got its name from an old lumber mill, and you can still find traces of the logging railroad that once ran through these woods.
