Summerville is a tiny farming community in northeastern Oregon's Grande Ronde Valley, home to just over 100 people. Highway 82 connects it to La Grande 15 miles south, while longer routes from Portland follow I-84 east then north on 82. The town sits surrounded by the Blue Mountains in classic high desert ranch country. The historic one-room schoolhouse from 1904 still stands as a testament to frontier education.
