Stromsburg is a small Swedish-heritage town in east-central Nebraska, accessible via Highway 34 from York (25 miles southeast) or Highway 39 from Columbus. The agricultural community of 1,074 people sits in flat farmland with straight, easy-driving roads. Most visitors come for the biennial Svensk Hyllningsfest celebration in June, when the "Swede Capital of Nebraska" showcases its 1872 founding heritage with traditional food, music, and dancing.
