Stratford is a small farming town of about 1,400 people in central Wisconsin, located 20 miles southwest of Wausau on Highway 97. The main route connects directly to Interstate 39 for trips to the Twin Cities, Madison, or Milwaukee, while Highway 153 links east-west to Spencer and other rural communities. The town hosts an annual Fall Festival each September featuring a parade with more tractors than cars.
