Stratford is a small Oklahoma town of about 1,300 people located on Highway 19, roughly an hour southeast of Oklahoma City. Most visitors arrive via I-35 to Pauls Valley, then take Highway 19 east for about 20 miles through rolling prairie country. The 1922 red brick schoolhouse still dominates the town center and serves as the main landmark for travelers passing through.
