Stinesville is a tiny Monroe County community 15 miles southwest of Bloomington via State Road 37. Most visitors arrive from Bloomington or Indianapolis (60 miles north) on SR-37. The town of 297 sits in Indiana's limestone hill country and maintains a rural character. The original Stine family general store foundation from the 1800s still stands along the main road.
