Sterling is a tiny farming town in Utah's Sanpete Valley, home to just 281 residents. Take State Route 89 through the valley to reach it, either from I-15 near Nephi to the north or from Manti to the south. The high desert setting at 5,500 feet brings hot summers and snowy winters. The town's 1901 sandstone LDS meetinghouse remains its most striking landmark.
