Stephens is a small Arkansas town on Highway 79, about 25 miles south of Camden in the pine-covered hills of Ouachita County. Most visitors arrive via Highway 79 from either Little Rock (through Arkadelphia) or from Shreveport, Louisiana. The volunteer fire department still rings its original 1960s brass bell mounted outside the Main Street station.
