Stark is a tiny farming community in southeastern Kansas, reachable via State Route 39 about 15 miles north of Parsons. Most visitors arrive from US Highway 160, which connects the area to Wichita (120 miles northwest) and other regional centers. The town sits amid rolling prairie and agricultural land typical of Neosho County, where corn and soybean farming dominates the economy. Its historic one-room schoolhouse from 1902 still stands as a testament to the area's pioneer heritage.
